My husband and I had a dinner party the other night and the people we invited were great fun. We were concerned that we did not have the right kind of music for the occasion but luckily our guests brought their i-pod with them so we had lots of different music to choose from. One of the favourite choices for the evening was The Rat Pack and the men in particular seemed to love crooning along to the songs of The Rat Pack. As usual, the evening split into two parts. The first part of the evening was really convivial with everybody together at the dinner table enjoying the food and having really good conversations. However, after the meal ended the men got up to their usual tricks of disappearing into the other room, leaving all the women to clear up. Having said that we did not really mind as we had a good old gossip over the washing up. When we finally rejoined them we could not believe our eyes and ears. They had set up an impromptu karaoke in the living room with all of them taking turns to sing their favourite songs of The Rat Pack. We had such a good laugh and the evening ended on a real high.
